Honoring the Ultimate Sacrifice of Vijay Kumar Mehto (Bikau)
Our foundation’s origin traces back to a heroic act on January 21, 1997. Seventeen-year-old domestic helper Vijay “Bikau” Mehto courageously shielded a child during a brutal home invasion, absorbing fatal wounds to save a life.

Inspired by his selflessness, the survivor, Mamta Shukla, established Vijay Foundation in 2017 to channel that courage into social service. Today, we carry forward Bikau’s legacy by protecting and uplifting the most vulnerable in our society.
